Registration and entry fees
Pre-registration for Tartu Mill Everyman’s Triathlon is open online on www.trismile.ee until June 28th 2020. Onsite registration, re-registration (10 EUR) and race package delivery will take place in the race center on Thursday, July 2nd 10.00-19.00, Friday, July 3rd 10.00-19.00 and on Saturday, July 4th 10.00-15.30.
Athletes must have ID to receive the race package. Athlete (parent/guardian in case of underage athlete) must agree with terms and conditions during registration. It’s not allowed to give your race package to someone else. The organizer has the right to refuse to register the athlete if it’s appropriate. If the race is cancelled due to force majeure, entry fees won’t be refunded.
Tartu Mill Everyman’s Triathlon entry fee includes:
- Professional organization
- Swim cap
- Finisher medal
- Tartu Mill Everyman’s Triathlon finisher T-shirt for the top 300
- Finisher certificate (electronic)
Athletes are registered to the event when the entry fee is paid. Entry fee is calculated according to payment date (not registration date).
During registration athlete (parent/guardian in case of underage athlete) confirms that he/she (parent/guardian in case of underage athlete) is responsible for his/her health condition and agrees that the organizer is not responsible for any health issue and damage/disappearance of personal belongings.
ITU rules (available here) and main rules for athletes (available here) apply. Athlete will accept these rules by registering to the event. Estonian traffic rules apply for race course. All athletes acknowledge WADA Anti-Doping rules.
Tartu Mill Everyman’s Triathlon race briefing takes place in start area 15 minutes before the start.
Drafting is forbidden. Draft zone is 10m, it will be monitored by race officials. Time penalty for drafting is 1 min, second drafting offence will lead to disqualification. All sanctioned athletes must stop in bike penalty box.
Technical officials of the race
Estonian Triathlon Association and NGO Sportlik Eesti
Protests will be reviewed by Competition Jury – representative from Estonian Triathlon Association, race organizer and head referee. Names of the Competition Jury will be announced on race day.
Protests concerning another athlete or equipment must be made to the head referee no later than 15 minutes after the last athlete finished the competition. Protests concerning the results can be made to the head referee within 24 h after publishing unofficial results. Protest fee is 50 EUR which will be refunded if the protest is successful.
Start area is at the Freedom Bridge. Tartu Everyman’s Triathlon has rolling start, race time starts as soon as the athlete crosses the timing mat.
Swimming takes place in river Emajõgi, water temperature is about 20°C at this time of the year. Wetsuit is recommended but swimming in wetsuit is forbidden if the water temperature is 22,0°C or higher 1h before the start. Athletes must swim 750m downstream. It’s mandatory to wear swim cap (provided by organizer) during swim.
Bike course is one lap of 20km and takes athletes towards Jõgeva. After turnaround the athletes come back the same way and will make a small loop in Tartu city. The bike course ends on Vabaduse street before the transition area, where you must dismount before the dismount line. Bike course is mostly flat. Drafting is forbidden. Bike penalty box is at the end of the bike course, approximately 300m before Transition Area.
Run course is one lap of 5km on the shores of river Emajõgi and is mostly flat.
Transition Area is on Vabaduse street. You need to have your race number with you to get access to Transition Area. Only athletes, officials and race organizers are allowed to Transition Area.
NB! Only athlete can check-in his/her race gear, nobody else are not allowed to Transition Area. Please take your time to familiarize yourself with Transition Area (entry, exit, flow, key areas etc).
Security of Transition Area
Transition Area is fenced. Athlete must check-out according to the race schedule. All the equipment that is not checked out, will be taken to info booth. Organizers and officials will look after your bike during the race.
Finish is on the Küüni street.
Water and isotonic drinks are available in run course aid stations and in finish area. There are no aid stations on the bike course.
Timing chips are included in athletes’ race package and they will be collected after the race. If the chip is lost, the athlete must refund it (70 EUR). There are many timing points on the race course to provide swim, bike and run splits.
Finish will be closed at 19.00.
There are awards for top three of each age group. It’s mandatory to take part in award ceremony to receive the award. If athlete can’t take part in award ceremony, his/her coach or representative may take the award. Awards won’t be delivered afterwards.
There’s medical aid available in the race center during the race. Water safety team will be present during the swim.
Lost and found
All found items will be taken to registration. After the race you can send your queries to firstname.lastname@example.org. Organizer will keep the lost and found items for 7 days after the race.
Parking and traffic on race day
It’s mandatory to follow the instructions of police, officials and traffic controllers while parking and during the race.
Race organizer has the right to change the race manual. All these changes will be announced on event’s website.
